This bathroom was re-designed to allow for wheelchair accessibility and independent showering. Space was taken from an adjacent bedroom to enlarge the bathroom’s floor area. A large walk in shower replaced the original tub. Thermostatic shower valves were placed at the seated and standing shower areas for water temperature safety. The semi-encassa sink at the floating vanity allows for an easy reach to the single lever tap set. A new pocket door keeps the entry area clear while tall storage and wall cabinets keep essential items handy and yet out of sight. As part of this renovation, the adjacent bedroom’s closet opening was widened and the interior was fitted out for more efficient storage.
