This small home’s original kitchen + bath were damaged and in need of refreshing. We gutted the areas and enlarged some openings, plus insulated some floor areas. The new kitchen cabinets were made in a similar style to the originals. We maximized the storage capacity by finishing the upper cabinets right to the ceiling and added pantry units. We relocated some appliances for improved work flow and finally added a new glazed back door for additional light and view of the garden. The bathroom configuration remained the same, though new millwork improved storage there too. New cork floor tiles blend with the existing Living + Dining flooring and provide a lovely texture and visual flow. Fresh white paints brightened the spaces even more. The client loves her new space, especially when she’s sitting at her breakfast/computer niche with the sun flowing in the windows!
