Uphill Upgrade Part 3: Bathroom Renovations

Over the years, we’ve completed many projects for this client in Uphill Nelson. We’ve renovated their kitchen, installed a wood stove, built a timber-framed carport, designed a mudroom cabinet, and now have freshened up their bathrooms.

In the Upstairs Bath, we thoughtfully reconfigured the space to make it feel more spacious. We removed the alcove bathtub and installed a new shower with tiled walls and shampoo niche. Removing a wall at the end of the original bathtub instantly opened up the space, and the double threshold glass shower surround furthers this effect. Removing this wall also made space for a shallow linen cabinet that matches the vanity. Finishing up the design, we added a heated towel warmer and washlet seat for an added touch of luxury.

In the Powder Room, we made some simple upgrades to the vanity and lighting, which now nicely frames the new mirror. Since the client had installed the slate floor tiles a few years before, our fixture and finish selections aimed to match the tiles and add some drama.
